Willow Oak (Quercus phellos)

Willow Oak is a medium to large sized deciduous oak tree. It is a fast-growing, long-living tree, and typically grows 50-70 feet high. Willow Oak has long, drooping branches. The leaves of this tree are typically green, and they turn a yellowish-brown color in the fall before drooping. The bark of this tree is a dark gray-brown color.  Willow Oak got its name because of the shape of its leaves which resembles the leaves of a willow tree. A cool fact about Willow Oak is that its acorns grow in clusters which makes them a valuable food source for different wildlife.
