Turn Point County Park, located on a spit of land near the town of Friday Harbor, is an excellent place for a short stroll or to launch your kayak. Located near Turn Island State Park, a wildlife refuge that allows overnight camping, it is an excellent place to begin an adventure. On summer nights the waters off the park often glow with bioluminescent algae, which makes kayaking here especially fascinating. The park is located beside private land, so visitors are asked to respect the property rights of the park's neighbors during their visit.
