The Main Rotunda at General Grant National Memorial is the largest space inside the Mausoleum. The soaring ceiling rises more than 100 feet in to the air to a dome that covers the decorated room. The sunken crypt below the central viewing gallery contains the sarcophogai of Ulysses S Grant and his wife Julia D Grant.
