Scenic View/Photo Spot

The Hulling Machine is a beautiful waterfall that can only be seen and heard by paddling down the East Branch of the Penobscot River. You must portage around The Hulling Machine. This natural feature was named for what it did to logs as they passed through the rapids and ledge drops. Logs were once floated downstream by loggers to transport them by river during the log driving days.
