Post-Maryland's emancipation in November of 1864, these buildings were used to house paid tenant farmers working on the Hampton estate. This former enslavement quarters building is today set up to represent the appearance of the days of thenant farmers. Both doors are opened to these exhibits during normal visitation hours.
