At Teewinot Overlook, gaze across Jenny Lake and admire a landscape shaped by glaciers. A paved pathway takes you from Jenny Lake Plaza to this overlook where you can orient yourself to the mountain peaks with a large 3-dimensional bronze map. Understand how the canyons before you were shaped by reading the interpretive sign. Although The Grand (the highest peak in the Teton Range) is not visible from the lakeshore, there are impressive views of Mount Teewinot. "Teewinot" is a shoshone word for "many pinnacles".
