Look closely at the ground to see who has passed this way.

In the desert you might not see animals at midday, but their signs are all around you. Burrows of various sizes might belong to ground bees, tarantulas, or kangaroo rats. Listen for the clicking of grasshoppers and the distant scream of a red-tailed hawk.

The text on the sign reads, "In the desert you might not see animals at midday, but their signs are all around you. Burrows of various sizes might belong to ground bees, tarantulas, or kangaroo rats. Listen for the clicking of grasshoppers and the distant scream of a red-tailed hawk.
Life here has a different rhythm - a fierce economy of movement - that varies according to the ground temperature, season, and time of day. At twilight the pace quickens. With scurrying and rustling and the snarls and squeals of the hunt, the desert awakens."
