Santa Fe Trail Ruts

Throughout the Santa Fe Trail you can spot wagon ruts. Here at Pecos National Historical Park, the ruts are a little harder to see as the plant life in the area has grown up since the use of the Santa Fe Trail. However, look closely and you may spot these wagon ruts on the ground as well as find historical markers marking where the trail ran through.
