Located along the banks of the Santa Cruz River in Tucson, the park runs from El Rio Park north of Twin Peaks Road to Silverlake Road. Another section runs from Ajo Way to Drexel Road, which includes El Paseo de los Arboles Commemorative Park on the west bank.
Santa Cruz River Park contains a multi-use trail within the Anza Trail historic corridor. El Paseo de los Árboles, "The Pathway of the Trees," is located along the west bank between Irvington Rd. and Ajo Way, and a tree there is dedicated to Anza.
The park is owned by the City of Tucson and managed by the Pima County Flood Control District. It features drinking water, equestrian access, exercise stations, a playground, restrooms, and walking paths.
