San Juan County Park is located about 5 miles south of our English Camp Unit on the west side of San Juan Island. Perhaps most famous for serving as a film location for the 1998 film "Practical Magic," this 12 acre park is one of the most popular public places on San Juan Island. Visitors to San Juan County Park can enjoy shore-based whale watching, launch a kayak, have a picnic, wander tidepools and beaches. San Juan County Park is one of two publicly managed campgrounds on San Juan Island. Reserve ahead to guarantee a site or if you arrive on foot or by bike use the unreserved hiker/biker campsites.
