The Ross County Historical Society (RCHS) was founded in 1896 to commemorate the centennial of the founding of Chillicothe Ohio and to preserve and promote the study of the history of the city, Ross County and the surrounding region. The RCHS conducts educational programs for people of all ages, saves and preserves for posterity historical artifacts and documents, and operates three museums and a library.
