Our next stop is also a place of detention and imprisonment, but stands in stark contrast to the miserable place the enslaved Africans were forced to be. Coming out of the dungeon, you will walk to the first open door you see ahead of you on your left. This was the holding cell of many non-slaves, including the mother of Alexander Hamilton, Rachel Levine.
