Parking - Auto, Scenic View/Photo Spot

This stop provides a perfect view of a prairie-dog town along the Badlands Highway 240 loop road. Other than the mounds of dirt where the prairie dogs have made their homes, the first thing you will likely notice is the high-pitched squeaks and noises coming from the prairie dogs. They are active communicators, using these vocalizations and body language to warn community members of potential dangers or by giving their neighbors an “all is clear” message.
