The #7 Boiler House supplied steam to power for equipment like steam hoisting engines. This building housed two groups of four boilers which were separated by brick partitions. Coal fired boilers boiled water, producing the necessary steam. The steam flowed through pipes to provide power to machines sometimes located far away from the boiler house. Decorative features on the #7 boiler building include red brick archways over the doors and windows along with Jacobsville Sandstone quoins or building corners. An air pump was housed in an attached addition on the western face of the building and a stone chimney also stood next to the building on this side.
