Pyramid Lake is a short, uncrowded day hike with moderate elevation gain. The trail passes through lodgepole pine forest, then hemlock and fir forest, to a tiny mountain lake with a unique community of plants growing on floating logs.
- Difficulty: Moderate.
- Distance and elevation: 4.2 miles (6.8 km) roundtrip with 1,500 foot (455 m) elevation gain.
- Access: Park on the north side of State Route 20 near milepost 127. The trailhead is on the south side of the road west of the parking area.
- Leashed dogs allowed.
