Located on the bank of the Blackstone River, Pray’s Landing is a location where people have been congregating to cross the river for probably over a thousand years. One could say that this place was the beginning of the transportation boom in the area. Pray's Landing was the site of a major crossroads, as many paths met here. Originally scouted out by the indigenous people, these paths took advantage of the shallow river crossing to connect to the roads on the other side of the river.
