Tiny Posey Island is a delightful treat for sea kayaking explorers

Quick Facts

Beach/Water Access, Canoe/Kayak/Small Boat Launch, Primitive Campsites

This miniscule 1-acre State Park, located just off the coast of Roche Harbor is a pocket gem of the Washington State Park system. Two campsites await kayak-based visitors who have the opportunity to observe porpoises and wildflowers during the right season. Nearby Speiden Island is privately owned, but from the water you can observe the exotic animals such as antelope and longhorn sheep transported here during its days as a private game reserve.

There is no potable water on the island, so come prepared with enough liquids to sustain you on your trip. Please practice leave no trace and pack out what you pack in!
