After camping at North Cove the night before, the northern group of Patriot militia continued descending the mountains towards the Catawba River.
This trail is through Pisgah National Forest along part of the Mountains-to-Sea Trail (MST). A parking area is available where the MST meets Old NC Highway 105, also known as Road #1238. The trail is apx. 1.75 miles long, rough natural surface. The trail meets US Forest Road 106.
