This is the largest parking area that can hold around 150 vehicles within the park on the east side. It is a gravel parking area as well as a Day Use Area located in the campground behind the campground pool. Picnic tables, eleveated fire grills, and trash/recycling receptacles are scattered underneath large Valley Oak. There is a shuttle stop near the store which runs seasonally up to Bear Gulch Day Use Area. Campers staying in the campground may leave extra vehicles in this lot overnight but cannot camp here. The Bench Trailhead is accessible from this area as you walk through the campground just beyond the group campground sites. This is also good place to park to explore the Bacon Ranch, located past the dirt road.
