The Persimmon Gap entrance station is the first location upon entering the park where visitors have the chance to speak with a ranger. Park entrances are always open and you can arrive at any hour, but entrance fee stations may not be staffed. If, during normal business hours, the entrance station is closed, please proceed to the nearest visitor center to pay your entrance fee and collect a park map and newspaper.
