Paradise Area Trails

Season: Summer
Paradise is open year-round, but this orientation guide is designed for the summer season when trails are snow-free. In spring and fall, there may be patches of snow covering sections of trail. Please stay on trails, even if it means crossing snow, to avoid trampling delicate meadow plants. Pets are not allowed on trails.

At this trail intersection, a short trail connects the Paradise Inn and upper parking lot to the East Skyline Trail. A large trail orientation sign with a map is directly across from the Paradise Inn Trail towards the north, with Mount Rainier barely visible between the trees behind the sign.

  • East Skyline Trail is relatively flat at this location, with an easy climb to the northeast (to the right if looking at the trail sign) and a gentle downhill to the southwest (to the left if looking at the trail sign).
  • Paradise Inn Trail goes due south to the Paradise Inn.
