Paradise is open year-round, but this orientation guide is designed for the summer season when trails are snow-free. In spring and fall, there may be patches of snow covering sections of trail. Please stay on trails, even if it means crossing snow, to avoid trampling delicate meadow plants. Pets are not allowed on trails.

This location is the junction of East Skyline Trail and Paradise Glacier Trail. Mount Rainier is visible to the north.

  • East Skyline is oriented roughly north-south at this intersection.
  • Paradise Glacier Trail goes to the northeast. This trail is unmaintained. 

How Far Is It?

  • Paradise Glacier: 1.5 miles, average walking time 1 hour, on the Paradise Glacier Trail.
  • Panorama Point: 1.5 miles north (uphill) via the East Skyline Trail, average walking time 1 hour.
  • Paradise (Jackson Visitor Center and Upper Parking Lot): 1.8 miles, average walking time 1 hour 10 minutes following East Skyline Trail downhill to the southwest.
