Quick Facts
Location:
Orcas Island, WA

Beach/Water Access, Canoe/Kayak/Small Boat Launch, Parking - Auto, Primitive Campsites, Trailhead

Located on the Southeastern side of Orcas Island, Obstruction Pass State Park is renowned for its oceanside solitude. Unlike its busy neighbor, Moran State Park, Obstruction Pass has a smaller trail network, much fewer campsites, and is less well known. That does not mean that 60 acre Obstruction Pass State Park is any less spectacular, however

Visitors to the park can find 1.6 miles of hiking trail, Orcas Island’s largest publicly accessible beach which is perfect for launching one’s kayaks, 10 primitive campsites, and a mooring buoy for boat-in visitors. Time your visit well and you might get to visit tidepools filled with marine life and stunning views of nearby islands and distant mountains. Please note that there is no potable water or trash collection at this park so please plan accordingly
