Our friends at the Mississippi Final Stands Interpretive Center have exhibits and films, which interpret the Battle of Brices Cross Roads fought June 10, 1864 and the Battle of Tupelo/Harrisburg fought July 14-15, 1864.
These two battles are the focus of indoor and outdoor exhibits at the Mississippi Final Stands Interpretative Center and museum. Visitors can enjoy a complete look at the Civil War that will include a civil war timeline, a memorial and remembrance wall, an exhibit outlining “Mississippi in the Civil War”, army definitions, and a complete story of Brices Cross Roads and Tupelo/Harrisburg battles. The exhibit is housed in 4000 sq. ft. interpretive center complete with restrooms, bookstore, flag exhibit, video and exhibit area, and a conference room, plus a new state-of-the art database housed in a kiosk where 20, 000 soldiers who fought at both battles are featured. The individual soldier is featured in the kiosk and in the first -hand accounts and diaries that tell their stories in “They Served Here.”
