The outdoor amphitheater is where you can join a park ranger for an inspirational evening program focusing on the presidents, patriotism, and the nation's history. Beginning with a ranger talk, this program continues with the film "Freedom: America's Lasting Legacy" (captioned) and culminates with the lighting of the memorial. Program held nightly late May through the end of September.

During the day the amphitheater is a great place to avoid the crowds on the Grand View Terrace. Feel free to relax and take in the view. You can access the amphitheater by going down the stairs or elevators located on either side of the Grand View Terrace.
