After the first three flights of stairs (about 60 steps), you come to a landing with a view of Grand Portage Bay and Raspberry Point. In early summer, take a moment to watch birds fly around in the tops of the trees below the landing. The bench is a good opportunity to catch your breath or enjoy a moment of quiet.
