This is public river access for the Upper Delaware River located near River Mile 261 in between Pond Eddy, New York and Sparrow Bush, New York. This access is managed by the New York Department of Environmental Conservation (NY DEC).
Access Use:
This is canoe/kayak access only. All boats must be launched from the access by hand. There is no boat ramp at this access. Motorized boats are not permitted to be launched from this access. After parking, visitors must carry their canoe or kayak approximately 200-300 feet down an inclined, uneven terrain to reach the water.
A seasonal portable toilet is available at this access from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
Please keep pets on a leash.
Parking:
Parking is available. Parking lot is large, able to accommodate approximately 40 regular-sized vehicles.
River Rules:

Pack It In, Pack It Out: There are no trash cans or garbage receptacles available. Please practice “Leave No Trace” principles and do not litter or leave any trash behind.

No Glass Bottles: Glass bottle use is prohibited on the river. Broken glass is dangerous for both visitors and wildlife.

Wear Your Lifejacket: It can save your life! Life jackets are required to be within reach when on the water and are required to be worn by children 12 years and younger. Life jackets are required to be worn when the river level is 6+ feet, or between November 1 – April 30.

Do not Trespass on Private Property: Many properties around the river are privately owned. Please respect the local community and do not trespass on private lands.

If fishing, you must have a license: Fishing is permitted at all public accesses. Anglers 16+ years of age must have a valid New York State or Pennsylvania fishing license.
