Explore the story of the 20th century colonial revival movement and George Washington memorialization here at the Birthplace. This short trail follows pasture land into the memorial farm area of the park that was created in the 1930's. Read the interpretive waysides to learn more about the history and stories of these era's.
The start of the trail is located by the restrooms outside near the visitor center. You will see a trail leading towards the fencing with a wayside in sight. The trail is mostly flat with an occassional rolling elevation gain of about 40 feet and is constructed of crushed pea gravel. There are a series of about 20 steps leading down to the Popes Creek Bridge. There are benches available periodically along the trail for your enjoyment.
