Rachel Mather died before the end of the school year in 1903, however, her legacy with the Mather School continued to thrive. New buildings were added to the campus, starting with Stoughton Hall. The building was completed in 1907. Stoughton Hall was used for dormitories. The building consisted of three stories that could accommodate fifty people. In addition to dorm rooms, the building provided a Principal’s and Treasury’s office and a study hall. Several decades later, Stoughton Hall was razed, and part of its scrap wood was used to build other structures on the campus.
