Maryland Avenue is one of the oldest commercial streets in Maryland. Along this street, you’ll find not only businesses and retail shops, but also the majestic Hammond-Harwood House (open to the public) and the Chase-Lloyd House, built by a Maryland signer of the Declaration of Independence, Samuel Chase.
