The maps engraved on the wall show a timeline of America’s involvement in World War I. During the Meuse-Argonne offensive, the largest campaign in American history, 26,277 men died and 95,786 were wounded. It lasted for 47 straight days. There is also a map of the western front that displays the names of the numerous battles that took place during the war.
