The main entrance to Valles Caldera National Preserve, located along New Mexico State Route 4 between Los Alamos and Jemez Springs, is open daily from dawn to dusk for pedestrian traffic and from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm for vehicular traffic (8:00 am to 6:00 pm from Memorial Day to Labor Day).
