Located at the head of downtown Calumet's commercial district, the Keweenaw Heritage Center, formerly St. Anne's Church, is a pivotal structure of the Calumet Downtown National Historic Landmark District. The St. Anne’s Church was built before 1900, replacing a wooden French Canadian Church. The new church was made from red Jacobsville sandstone which reaches 32 feet to the eves and has a gabled roof. The front spire on the northeast corner of the building extends 140 feet into the air. The church was purchased by the Charter Township of Calumet in 1994 and adapted to server as an education and cultural center. Check for dates of performances and concerts featuring the 1899 Barckhoff organ.

The Keweenaw Heritage Sites are official partners of Keweenaw National Historical Park, but are privately owned. Each site interprets and preserves an important aspect of the area's copper mining history and provides a unique visitor experience. Please contact individual sites for more information.
