Kanawha Falls is located outside of the park on the Kanawha River about ¾ of a mile west of Gauley Bridge, on Highway 60. The falls spans the entire width of the river and drops at its’ highest point about 15 feet. A low dam above the falls diverts water into a hydropower facility, but at any water level it is worth a stop at the small park just below the falls.

Driving Directions: Follow Highway 60 west from Gauley Bridge for about 3/4 miles. There will be a dirt parking area on the left. Stop there to view the falls.
