Johnson Lake is located deep in the backcountry of Great Basin National Park. Near this mountain lake there are historic building and mining equipment, please to not enter or disturb any historic sites.

There are multiple different trails that lead to Johnson Lake both from the Baker Creek Trailhead and Snake Creek Trailhead.
