Jimmy Carter's bedroom is where he stayed from the time he was four until he went off to college at the age of seventeen. Here his collection of arrowheads were stored in glass jars on his bookcase. Books were a great way to visit places in distant times and locations and were prized possessions. Out the window one Christmas, Jimmy Carter discovered that he had received a pony from Santa; he named her Lady. Jimmy Carter's bedroom was the only room without a source of heat, so bricks would be warmed on the stove and placed under the blankets to keep him warm on cold nights.
