Islesford Historical Museum is located on Little Cranberry Island, just south of Mount Desert Island. Exhibits tell the story of changing island life, schooner empires, summer residents, and the fishing industry. It is accessible by mail boat or narrated tour boat from Northeast Harbor or Southwest Harbor.

In addition to the museum and interpretive exhibits, facilities include restrooms, drinking fountains, and a small bookstore.

From late May through September, local companies offer narrated boat tours, which make a 45-minute stop at the island. During this time you may visit the museum, open daily 10:30am to 4:00pm from mid-June through September.
