At the first trail junction you will see a patio area behind the lodge with several Adirondack chairs and a picnic table.
A short distance further down the paved trail you will come to the second trail junction. Following the trail to your left you will descend several steps arriving shortly at a wood shelter with a large stone fire place. Continue on the trail past the shelter down more steps to arrive on the bank of a stream and eventually the riverside trail.
Continue straight on the paved path to Hewlett Field. As you approach the edge of the field you pass by several picnic tables and a trail junction with a riverside trail. On the west end of the field is a launch for small watercraft.
