Quick Facts

Historical/Interpretive Information/Exhibits

Manassas National Battlefield Park preserves and protects the land and resources associated with the First and Second Battles of Manassas and fosters understanding and appreciation of the significance of these battles by providing opportunities for public education, use, and inspiration.

This historic landscape appears much as it did during the violent summers of 1861 and 1862. It is an important part of our history and many of its features are irreplaceable. Please help ensure that these cultural and natural resources endure for the future.

Manassas National Battlefield Park preserves nearly 5,000 acres of historic land. History and nature converge here to create an absorbing visitor experience. In addition to historic structures, archeological sites, and cultural landscapes, the park provides habitat for a wide variety of plants, birds, and other wildlife. Today more than 40 miles of hiking and equestrian trails traverse the battlefield. Please enjoy your visit and help us protect the park for future generations.
