This wayside explains the impact of the Ice Age floods, which occurred during the end of the last Ice Age. The ice containing a massive glacial lake, known as Lake Missoula periodically melted during this period, releasing huge quantities of water that flooded Eastern WA, shaping the Tri-Cities landscape.
