Scenic View/Photo Spot

This overlooks is the largest of two pullouts on the park highway that offer a glimpse of the hydrothermal features in Little Hot Springs Valley. There are no trails into Little Hot Springs Valley.

This overlook offers a view of the north end of this steep valley and the numerous seasonal creeks that drain into it. Hydrothermal activity along the edges of East Sulphur Creek below supports early growth of grass and wildflowers, which can be quite vibrant even in early summer.

A small pullout directly approximately 1 mile south of here offers a second view into the valley. Grassy slopes often appear a vibrant green when the surrounding area is still snow-covered. Bring binoculars (or very good eyesight) to look for black bears munching on the spring grass.
