Managed by the Deltaville Maritime Museum, Holly Point Nature Park offers a scenic, 36-acre retreat along Mill Creek and Jackson Creek in Deltaville, Virginia. As a Chesapeake Gateways Place, the park blends natural beauty, recreational access, and community gathering spaces along the Chesapeake Bay’s shores.
Visitors can explore garden trails, a waterfront dock, and a whimsical children’s garden with pickable flowers and vegetables. The waterfront trail features wildlife sculptures and benches for quiet reflection. Recreational amenities include open lawns for picnicking, ball tossing, a kayak and canoe launch ramp, and over 400 feet of pier for boating and visitor tie-ups.
Throughout the year, Holly Point Nature Park hosts a variety of community events, markets, and festivals that celebrate the region’s maritime culture, local arts, and Chesapeake traditions. Visitors are encouraged to contact the museum or visit the website for the latest event schedules and offerings. As part of its mission, the park provides a natural setting for visitors to connect with native flora, fauna, and the Bay’s vital ecosystems.
Open daily from dawn to dusk and pet-friendly, Holly Point Nature Park welcomes families, paddlers, and nature lovers to experience the beauty and community spirit of the Chesapeake region. For more information, please visit the Deltaville Maritime Museum’s website.
