The Havre de Grace Maritime Museum is in Harford County, Maryland, and situated at mouth of the Susquehanna River, where the river meets the Chesapeake Bay. The museum was founded December in 1988 to preserve and interpret the maritime history, heritage, culture and environmental significance of the Lower Susquehanna River and Chesapeake Bay.
The museum features several galleries and spaces with several permanent exhibits, information, and a library. The site also hosts an Environmental Center for groups, tours, and school programs to teach visitors to better appreciate and protect the Susquehanna River and the Bay. The waterfront site also provides a beautiful view of the surrounding waterfront and is within walking distance of other museums and historical sites in downtown Havre de Grace.
