Quick Facts

Parking - Auto

Good Hope Road is one of three entrances into Anacostia Park. In order to enter the park, you will first pass through the DC-295 underpass. At the end of the road, you will see your first glimpse of the Anacostia River. You might also notice the Anacostia Riverwalk Trail (ART). The ART is a paved trail frequently used by cyclists, runners, and walkers and serves as the backbone of the Anacostia Waterfront. It stretches 12-miles along the river from South Capitol Street north to Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens. Turning right on Anacostia Drive will take you to the DC Recreation Center, Skating Pavilion, Aquatic Education Center, and boat ramp. Turning left will take you to the National Capitol Parks – East Headquarters and the South Capitol Street entrance/exit of the park.
