The Calumet and Hecla railroad, or Gandy Dancer’s shack is located on the far western end of the industrial core. The building is a single story made from poor-rock, a leftover from mining processes. Gandy dancers were men who rode the rails to care for the tracks. The shack was built for them to keep their tools in.
