Quick Facts

Historical/Interpretive Information/Exhibits, Scenic View/Photo Spot

The dirt trail to your right is the Frey Trail, named after an early concessionaire in the park. If you follow this trail, it will switchback its way out of the canyon, gaining approximately 500 feet in the climb. There are excellent views back into the canyon as the trail ascends. The path then will pass through the piñon-juniper woodlands past the park’s maintenance yard and finally end across from Juniper Family Campground. Remember to check before you begin whether the park’s shuttle bus is running (summer only), or you will have to return the same route.
