Welcome to the Jimmy Carter Boyhood Farm. Earl Carter, JImmy's father, moved the family to this farm in 1928. The farm was expanded, reaching 360 acres, until Earl Carter sold the farm in 1949.
The National Park Service acquired 17 of the original acres, and restored the Boyhood Farm to its 1937 appearance.
The trees planted in straight rows are pecan trees and the property is under private ownership, and not part of the National Historical Park.
