Scenic View/Photo Spot

Egelhoff Rapids, not to be confused with the Egelhoff Narrows/Chute that are further down-river, are a class II+ river feature that should be portaged by most floaters, except the one who are very experienced and have the necessary equipment to handle a class II+ rapid.

Floaters can pull out on the floater's-left before the rapid and carry their vessel just a short distance where they can continue their float in calm waters. This process is known as portaging, and there are other areas along the river where this is required.

Egelhoff's Rapids make for a very cool photo spot because of the way the water flows and moves over the rapid, so don't be afraid to snap a picture while you carry your vessel further down-river.
