Parking - Auto, Trailhead

A beautiful hike with expansive views of Fisher Basin, surrounding peaks and wildflowers when in season. The trail crosses Granite Creek, winds upwards for approximately 2 miles (3.2 km), then opens into a basin. The trail heads steadily up towards Easy Pass. During spring the hike may require an ice axe and the trail may be lost in lingering snowfields.

  • Difficulty: Strenuous. 
  • Distance and elevation: 7.4 miles (11.9 km) roundtrip / 3,000 foot (914 m) elevation gain.
  • Access: The trailhead is at milepost 151 on State Route 20. A Northwest Forest Pass is required to park at the trailhead.
  • No dogs allowed beyond the national park boundary, including Easy Pass.
