This is the MUST SEE location of Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area! The colorful, narrow, winding canyon walls are over 1,000 feet tall at this point. From this overlook one can see both north and south along the bighorn lake as well as up Devil Canyon which enters the lake directly in front of the overlook. In addition to the spectacular canyon views visitors often also see a variety of wildlife including but not limited to Bighorn Sheep, Pryor Mountain Wild Mustangs, Eagles, and Peregrine Falcons.

To access Devil Canyon Overlook, turn north onto Hwy 37 from 14A near Lovell, WY. Remain on Hwy 37 for approximately 15 miles. The road is paved all the way to the paved parking lot and is easily accessible. Shortly after you enter the Recreation Area you will see a "Entering Wild Horse Range" sign. Slow as you cross the cattle guard and keep your eye out for our first band of wild horses we call the "greeters" because they frequently hang out just inside the boundary! As you climb up rolling hills look for Bighorn Sheep along the road banks. Follow the brown and white signs to turn right to go to Devil Canyon Overlook.
